L'H to Human Rights
The promotion and that of defense of the Human Rights an axis is tranversal of the policies implemented by the Town Council of the Hospitalet, however, which is made indispensable it is a will of intersectorial and interdepartmental work. This implies promoting spaces of encounter and collaboration in the Town Council in order to act in coherent way in all policies that are implemented.
Our Plan of Sensitization is a fruit of the initiative of several entities of the city, as well as of the direct actions that in this subject the Town Council of the Hospitalet develops.
The collaboration with the Regional Government of Barcelona in the subject of the sensitization has allowed us to develop actions prompt and flat of sensitization in the town.
Like goals specific to the Plan of Sensitization we have wanted to promote and to strengthen the education for the peace and the Human Rights, through the Culture of the Peace and the respect for the Human Rights as a practical tool of improvement of the social communal life in the Hospitalet.
Also, we have wanted to project policies of peace and human rights in the whole of the areas of local government and to give support to the social fabric that works.

Memories of sensitization for years
A transversal axis of the policies is the promotion and the defense of the human rights implemented by the Town Council of L'Hospitalet, for which it is indispensable a will of intersectorial and interdepartmental work. This it supposes spaces of encounter and collaboration in the Town Council in order to operate in coherent way in all policies that are implemented.
Like specific goals of the Plan of Sensitization we have wanted to promote and
strengthening the education for the peace and the human rights, through the culture of the
peace and the respect for the human rights as a practical tool of improvement of the
communal life social in The Hospitalet. Also we have wanted to project
political of peace and rights humans in the whole of the areas of local government and to give support to the social fabric that it works, and we have achieved it through several performances that next they introduce.

- European Card of Safeguard of Human Rights in the City
L'Hospitalet de Llobregat is one of the first cities to gather the commitment of local governments with the defense of human rights within their sphere of competence.
"The European Card of Safeguard of the Human Rights in the City is a document that proclaims itself the public freedoms and the recognized fundamental rights to the inhabitants of the people and cities, all of them and each one of the persons who live in a town.
The initiative of the towns gathered by the Human Rights (Barcelona, 1998) in the 1st European Lecture of Cities for commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of the Human Rights is enjoyed. This lecture brought to light that the implementation of the Universal Declaration of the Human Rights of the United Nations is a challenge for Europe and that, since the majority of inhabitants of the world live in urban zones, it is necessary to promote the dignity and the respect to the Human Rights in the cities.
Thus, it was agreed to elaborate a declaration that picked up the appointment to the local governments with the defense of the human rights in its competence area, an instrument in order to need the rights and duties to the citizens and citizens in this stage full of contradictions that are our people and cities better.
The European Card of Safeguard of the Human Rights in the City, is a political, non juridical instrument, articulated by an idea: the city is from all those persons who inhabit it and all they have the right to the city, to the rights of citizenship."
L'hospitalet De Llobregat is one of the cities it is one of the first cities that rcollir goes this appointment.
