The Auditorio Barradas he accommodates the exhibition "Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the only atomic attacks of the history," of Lucas Vallecillos, photo-journalist. The exhibition is a photographic essay about the atomic bombardments in headquarters 75 anniversary. He retrieves the historical memory for fostering the culture of the peace and he invites to the reflection on the destructive power of the nuclear armament, and the need to abolish it.
This exhibition is divided into two parts. The first, entitled "Testimonies", puts a face to the disaster caused by the atomic bombing, through the testimony of 8 hibakusha (survivors of the atomic bomb) who explain how they experienced the bombing and how it has marked the future of their lives. The photo of each testimony is accompanied by a large text resulting from the interview with the survivor. The second part, called "Hiiroshima and Nagasaki today", is a current portrait of the two cities, which live in the present without forgetting the past and are an example of improvement. This series of images aims to stimulate a more modern collective imagination, which transcends the dramatic black and white images of 1945.

11/12/2020The Program of Cooperation and Solidarity of the Town Council of L'Hospitalet, in the "program stops refugiados students jóvenes or procedentes of zonas of conflicto (UB Shelter)", it contributes again to the reception of three sheltered youngsters who have had to run away from its country of origin for the violence and the rapes of the Human Rights.The collaboration consists of the cession of a house of the Habitat Foundation 3 for these youngsters, while they continue its studies at the University of Barcelona. At the beginning of this year the illustrated book came out Alphabet of the Solidarity directed to boys and girls. To introduce it the next Monday 14 of December at 6 of the afternoon will be made a telematic presentation , in order to put this tool of leisure and pedagogic in the disposal of the citizenship.
In the book a word related with the solidarity for each one of the letters of the alphabet is proposed. Through these words, the realities of our world are described and tools are given for improving it with the participation of all of them and all of them. Each word is accompanied of illustrations and of pedagogic material to work each one of the words at home or in the classrooms.
