The Catalan Agency for Cooperation to the Development (Agència Catalana de Cooperació al Desenvolupament - ACCD) is the organization of the Generalitat de Catalunya responsible of managing the policies of cooperation to the development and humanitarian action. She is ascribed to the Secretary's Office of Foreign Matters of the Department of the Presidency. It is the main instrument of the Government and the citizenship of Catalonia to join in with the international community in the appointment to construct a world more exactly and solidary, and to work to guarantee the access to the fundamental rights and to the free development of the persons and the people of all the world.

How it works:
Directive Plan 2011-2014 is the instrument that the ACCD uses for planning its public policy of quality and establishing its purposes in means and long deadline. This makes it establishing priorities and strategic lines that they need more than one cycle of planing of four years to carry out and that, in the south as well as in the north, fix in three sectors of intervention: cooperation to the development, humanitarian action and education for the development (EpD).
