On December 19, 2017 at 6:30 p.m., a Round Table for the exchange of experiences in solid waste and recycling L'Hospitalet and Maputo took place in the Ca n'Arús building in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, with the participation of the expatriate from ESF in Maputo and the director of the Solidança association. The table was moderated by the head of the International Cooperation Service and presented by the director of the Program for Cooperation and Solidarity of the City Council of L'Hospitalet, Nicolás Cortés Rojano. Issues on the GRSU were discussed in the city of Maputo and in L'Hospitalet, Different situations opposed to North and South were analyzed. In addition, information was transmitted on the GRSU working conditions in Mozambique and the interests of the local authorities for the development of this area. It had an active participation of about 20 attendees who contributed their perspectives and experiences from North and South. Complementary information Within the scope of this project, Improvement of Urban Solid Waste Management, financed by the L'Hospitalet City Council, two pieces of audiovisual material were presented on the main project activities: 1. A vision close to daily work of the cooperative of the local partner Comsol, showing its day to day, its beginnings, its interests as a cooperative and its vision for the future in the city of Maputo. 2. Accompaniment of the day-to-day of the operators of the local partner Kunemos in the primary collection in the Maxaquene C neighborhood. The before and after, the challenges and the importance of their work in the neighborhood. On the other hand, a photography exhibition on the activities of the project was presented, which was inaugurated and could be visited during the festivities. This material was produced thanks to the collaboration of a volunteer in the field, who traveled to Maputo for 3 months and contributed his experience and vision. In addition, the expatriate explained the general activity of ESF in Maputo and the daily work with local partners, local authorities and the population at GRSU in the KaMaxaquene District, as well as the present and future challenges. For its part, the Solidança association explained its experience and activity since its inception in L'Hospitalet for 20 years in its work on socio-labor reintegration and professional training for people in situations of social vulnerability. At this point, both organizations agreed to boost work with vulnerable communities for their integration into professional life. At the end of the event, attendees had access to informative material about the project and its awareness-raising activity.
