The day 3 May, 2017, will take place in L'Harmonia. Space of Art of L'Hospitalet, the presentation of the Master Plan L' H 2016-2019: international cooperation is a global social justice.
In a world where cities have a fundamental weight, it must be characterized by the principle of solidarity. In L'Hospitalet our solidarity and our social commitment come from afar, we were the first to join the spirit of Catalonia with a master plan in the field of international cooperation in 2003; Today we celebrate the years of commitment to international cooperation, conceived as a public, transparent and participatory policy derived from the work carried out by the United Nations, with which we share the same roadmap to promote the common good, so when trying to achieve the ambitious 2030 Agenda plan, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
The fourth priority of the international cooperation plan is to guarantee social protection, key health, education and the creation of jobs and wealth. Our concept of cooperation is linked to our commitment to human rights, continuing the spirit in which the Hospitalet signed the European Charter for the Protection of Human Rights in the city, approved in Saint-Denis (France) on May 18, 2000 .
We are convinced that every cooperative task is a common task. This text is a choral work, a participatory process, a synthesis effort in which collective entities work together, collective groups, experienced NGOs, universities, unions and local authorities. Our challenge is to build a better and fairer world.
